Thankfully Erik, although I've used the script to install CHADWM many times to every computer in my house, I have not had one instance of a broken installation. I always have CHADWM in less than 30 seconds. Still, thank you for this. Your video library is getting very extensive so I find myself trying to remember which video to refer to when needed. Also thankfully, you number and title the videos very well. Cheers!

I know now this comment isn't going to do anything, but started NixOS journey a few months ago, at this point I am very much experienced, not an expert, even not an intermediate user, but still better than noob 😂 Seeing you suffer over these little things is very laughable, and seeing how close you are to solution and still not seeing it is frustrating as well 😂 Now today you will be an expert user I know, and when you see this video, you will be like what I was doing? You shouldn't have used NixOS without watching some videos😂, cuzz if you don't know what nix-shell nix-env or config and how to rebuild or install packages, you are in trouble, and here things works differently so yeah, but I will love to watch your series cuzz I love NixOS and I watched this whole video without skipping a second, love it, if you would have watched videos to learn NixOS and then made this video, probably I would have never watched it, but seeing you falling into these issues and saying huh 😂 I am loving it man

Thanks Eric for arcolinux. I really enjoy using it. I like that arcolinux has a uniform theme (arc-theme) and that also applies to the Gnome programs.

Erik. I have no idea about rsync. But I see it is in my system and clonezilla as well. Based on my search I've found that rsync is a file transfer and sync tool. Now is it used by the system or only for the os installation. Because if it is used for os installation purpose and have no other use now like clonezilla then I'd like to remove both of these packages. I do not use any rsync commands personally but I do use commands like skel and etc.

i installed arco linux yesterday, i encrypted my drive but why it's taking too much time to unencrypt the drive while bootling

When it comes to Desktop maybe it should be one and the same, but two tabs if that is possible which is X11 Based & Wayland Based.

I think timeshift is more a program for people transitioning from windows to linux, not used to the particulars of using things like chroot

I used to use snapper when I used to use garuda and used to use timeshift when I used to use manjaro. Nowadays, in arcolinux I feel like arch-chroot is the boss and use it to fix things, but it does require some knowledge and I learnt everything about it from this channel. Now, rather keeping all the backups I just do a arch-chroot and fix things up. If I can't fix it then I do a clean install without formatting the home partition since it's a seperate partition. You cannot change certain settings in this type of installation but I don't need to change them. Last of all, the nemesis script. I'm modifying it for my own personal use case, like just a post-install script only for arcolinux-hyprland, that way the script is much shorter. All these above use cases works for me but I think this is good for a desktop usage. I think timeshift or snapshots are better for servers because while maintaining servers people will get lots of storage, I do have decent about of storage but those are for my dev tools and games. No room for snapshots. Everything has their optimal use cases but I prefer the way that you showed with arch-chroot and nemesis script. After all, I learned all these from you. However, the reason I like this because, time shift may save some time, but doing arch-chroot or a little bit of debugging makes me feel that I am in arch and even if my system is not working properly but I love every bit of it. But for emergency use, testing and gaming, I do have windows installed in another storage device. I need more than one os for my development practice. But I enjoy every second when I'm in arcolinux-hyprland. That's my favorite.

Thats fucking update ruin everythin! Now fileroller is cant drag and drop feature, qt5 update at qt6 you can't use qt5-styleplugins anymore for gtk2 themes on qt5, on qt6 no have this patch, and all style looks like a shit! Some soft use gtk4 themes, some gtk3 and some gtk2 Thats a horror!!!! Python now write some spam warning when compiling soft like ufw. Lxsudo updated on qt6 too and offcourse theme breaking too.

a few days before, I have the same problem, when I boot into arco plasma livecd and doing nothing for a long time, the screen will be locked, and cannot login again (leave the password empty)

I saw an error message at the waybar 2 days ago and I just commented out that line. I didn't know anything about the new_status variable and it is working and I think the default value is slave, that's how it is working, I think. Thanks for the hyprland update.

Even with attenutating to three main ISO media, it's all still all there and that's what you are showing and proving. With Arco (Archlinux) all of the possibilities are easily built, if not at the time of installation, then by method of the Sofirem tool, the ATT package export/import, or command line. All three are available to get us everything we've most always had and we learn some more along the way. Thanks and many blessings!

I have to ask, why the extra step of setting up a service meant for sharing with Windows, when you can just use sshfs to mount the dir locally? You know, the linux way?

I'm customizing the nemesis script for a post hyprland installation script to polish the system. I'm using a for loop and reading a text file that contains the names of the packages of pacman that I have installed in the system, after doing sudo pacman -Qee > packages.txt.

Poor Chinese, Japanese and Korean fonts. Always getting ripped-off from the systems by the nemesis script. Like, nemesis script is the arch-nemesis of those fonts. Hahahaha. Just kidding!
